Of Forgiving and Forgetting

Cliché tells us that when we forgive, we must also forget.

I say, you can only do that if you had a bad case of dementia. Otherwise, it’s there, part of all your memories.

If you no longer associate the pain as you remember the person and reason that caused you that pain and sadness—I say you have finally forgiven and "forgotten".

Amparo: yes Miss O, but only until the first week of September

Miss O: *theatrical* Oh, is that so. So you're just here for the party?

Amparo: Yes. Babalik din kami.

Miss O: So when are you going back to Manila?

Amparo: Ah, oo malamig.

CEU Student 1: Gurl, ano na nga size nung iyo? (nung Zagu)

CEU Student 2: hmmm..ewan ko nga eh. Bitin naman yung Baby Z.

CEU Student 1: e di yung regular nlang.

CEU Student 2: ay, parang kulang din eh. masarap kea yung creme brulee

CEU Student 1: ay jusko e di yung grande.
